Psah O’Russei (O’Russei Market)
Phnom Penh
The cavernous, concrete building of Psah O’Russei market is a giant maze to get around to and getting lost is just part of the fun. At the ground floor alone, hundreds of shops and stalls are jam-packed with all things food and kitchen-wares (above photo). The atmosphere is so fascinating that I always come here just to soak in the sights, the sounds and the smells. Not only that O’Russei market is a perfect place to pick up a thing or two, food stuff or otherwise, but it also offers great photo opportunities and meeting with colorful local characters.

>A very busy scene.
>Colorful, to be sure!
>Excellent market scene. There are so many things to explore in this image, it is enthralling. It kind of reminds me of a market my wife and I visited in Nassau, Bahamas, several years ago. A great choice for Sunday Scenery!
>I love the colours and the angle of the view. You’ve really done a good job of capturing he chaos and fun of a market. My contribution to Sunday Scenery is up here. Please stop by if you get a chance.
