APAD 218: Yellow line
Where does this double yellow line lead you to?
This road is a part of the National Road 1, from Phnom Penh leading to the provinces of Prey Veng and Svay Rieng. Taken last weekend while on a road trip to the Cambodian border town of Bavet in Svay Rieng province.
APAD 217: Deja brew?
Here’s one snapshot of the many coffee shops that have mushroomed in the city. This shop has a cute name and sign – deja brew. The shop looks nice from the outside but I wonder if the coffee is any good. I still prefer the coffee – iced coffee – sold in the local restos and markets.
One newly-arrived expat I know commented that she enjoyed going to a different coffee shop every day.

APAD 216: Cambodian athlete
I was on a tuk-tuk and saw this young lady driving a moto. She slowed down beside the tuk-tuk when the light turned red, and that’s when I read the back of her backpack that I realised she is a national athlete. I decided to chat her up.
She is bound to Jakarta on Dec 11, she told me, as an official delegate of Cambodia to this year’s the SEA Paralympic Games. She will compete in athletics (running). I don’t know if you can see in the pic but she is using a prosthetic on her right leg.
Good luck to her and to the whole Cambodian delegation. Cheyor, Cambodia!
