These are but a few of the boathouses belonging to a floating community along the confluence of Tonle Bassac and Tonle Sap rivers. Watching the boat-people is a quick glimpse of sortsĀ  at the way of life of a floating village in Cambodia.

The Women of Prek Toal

This was intended for the Women’s Day post but I got buried under tons of office work. Anyways, here it goes… a salute to the Cambodian women who go through many sacrifices and discrimination. I support the continuing struggle for the empowerment of women in Cambodia.
