The limestone mountains in Kampot’s Kampong Trach district. Not a lot of people know that in this mountain the soil is uniquely purple. We do not know why it is so. Also inside is a shrine and a naturally-formed pool with very cold water.
Purple soil? Wow, that is very interesting. Beautiful photo. Visiting from OWT.
Indeed it was interesting. Thanks for visiting 🙂
Joined the our world tuesday meme too 😀
re: kampong trach, we brought a small container of that purple soil. very unusual. and cactuses grow nicely on them.
We didn’t know the soil was for sale! We should really ask around for an explanation about the soil colour.
Amazing light and beautiful scenery
This is beautiful and I’m amazed by the purple soil.
Great shot!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon Tiver, Cnada.
