APAD 037: Apsara carving at Bayon Temple

This carving in one of the pillars at Bayon Temple is just one of the hundreds of thousands of Apsara carvings at the Angkor Wat Archaeological Park in Siem Reap. The carvings are now worn out but, as you can see, the beautifula details are still there.

The thick, billowy clouds provided a dramatic backdrop for these old colonial buildings at the riverside.
The heavens could not decide, it seemed. The following night, however, it rained, much to our delight. It cooled down everything.

The other week my husband and I went to Sorya Mall to look for a nice pair of jeans for him. It was a challenge as most of the available items are for the younger ones. We went to a department store and had our hopes up when we saw the sign:
But it was quickly dashed. The “man jeans” are not really for men. They’re small (in women’s sizes), short (in length) and are high-waisted.
