APAD 172: Cozy corner
My favourite part of the house — our veranda garden. And that’s my favourite spot, right there. That’s where I sit down and have my morning coffee while my husband sits opposite of me and my dogs playing nearby.
If I remember it correctly, this photo was taken just after 4pm. The sun is still bright but not hot and blinding anymore. Professional photographers say that the best time to take photos are early in the morning before 10am and just after 4pm in the afternoon. This is called the golden hour. The light is warm and along with the shadows it creates make for an interesting picture.
I also love taking sunrise (and sunset) photos but it’s the getting up I don’t like so much, tee-hee-hee.

I could not resist the yellow-tags and came home with these:
A stainless steel sauce pan and a two-layer tiffin food carrier. I ditched my old plastic lunch boxes already and turn to this traditional Asian lunch box 🙂

Here’s a closer at the stupa featured in this post.

This very colourful stupa juts out to the sky, striking, like a red lipstick on a bare face. Notice how intricate the decorations are.
APAD 166: Altar
In 2007, my husband and I went on an exploration trip of the Kampong Trach mountains in Kampong Trach district of Kampot. The moment we entered the pagoda, we were greeted by the locals and ushered us to this altar/shrine inside the cave:
It was very dark but cool inside and we noticed interesting rock formations there. Just before the cave’s exit is this altar and statues of a meditating Buddha sitting on top of a seven-headed water serpent called naga.
