APAD 017: Rural life

Posted by on Oct 5, 2012 in Addicted to Meme, All things Khmer, Cambodia life, sights, That's My World, travel, Uncategorized, What's On in Cambodia | 2 comments

A small wooden house surrounded by a small lotus pond – typical scene in rural Cambodia. Slow-paced and a laid-back lifestyle awaits the weary-souls of city-dwellers who come home to the countryside once in a while.

This is rural Cambodia.

Welcome to Inside Cambodia!

I just moved here and this is my first post.

Obviously, this blog is still under construction. I’m still in the process of tweaking my new theme so I won’t be able to post photos as of yet. Will resume back to regular blogging as soon as I have completed dressing up this blog.

For the time being, please look at my recent photos, and not so recent ones. Also, if it is not much to ask, kindly  update your RSS feeds to this (right click the logo or any of the links, then copy link location):

APAD 018: Nom pang

Posted by on Mar 27, 2011 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Now you know what I had for lunch…

Nom pang is the local baguette in Cambodia. It goes really well with  local meatloaf sliced into strips, shown here in the picture, with green tomatoes and papaya salad relish and a dollop of fresh chilli for that extra spice in your mouth.

APAD 017: Limo tuk-tuk service in Phnom Penh

Posted by on Mar 26, 2011 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

This is the Limo tuk-tuk. I took this one to go home the last time I had coffee with my Peluka friends and imagining about what kind of  “best tuk-tuk experience” I was about to have.

There was nothing out of the ordinary with the ride – although I did see a message posted on the tuk-tuk that refreshment is free – soda and bottled water – but I didn’t get anything. Hmmm…

And by the way… the driver’s name is…. wait for it… Mr. Limo!
I thought the word “Limo” has something to do with a great tuk-tuk experience, taking cue from the limo services afforded to VIPS, etc. I was dead wrong. *lol*

APAD 014: Arf-punzel

That’s one of my pet dogs, Joe. We live on a second-floor apartment and there you see Joe in our veranda with head in between the grills and legs hanging over. He is waiting for his turn to be walked. I took this photo while on my way back from walking my other dog, Max. You can find their blog over at My Dogspot.

APAD 013: Where’s the moto-driver?

Posted by on Mar 22, 2011 in Uncategorized | 8 comments

Amazing how much cargo can a single moto-dop (motorcycle taxi) hold! You can’t even see the driver from behind. In times like this, extra caution must be exercised when following behind, or even when attempting to overtake. You definitely don’t know what the drivers are up to. I just pray that he reaches his destination safe and sound.
