apad 150 cactus cacti

Cactus, cacti. Anyone?

My husband and I went on a sight-seeing trip at the Chroy Changvar Peninsula. Along the way are a few garden shops selling all sorts of plants. Above is the cactus section. I do not know their names but I like the ones with pretty yellow flowers on the foreground and the coloured ones (red, yellow and orange mostly) on the middleground. The large spherical ones are just as lovely!
These various cacti are used for landscaping but will brighten anyone’s window sill or or garden (when bigger). They surely add texture and colour, shape and colour to the landscape.

Here in our neighbourhood, most residents have not returned yet from their New Year’s holiday.

We cherish the remaining quiet moments. Sooner or later, they will return. So will the noise and regular flurry of activities.

Yours?
It’s red-hot alright but looks a lot like my younger brother’s matchbox.
It’s a strange little thing, obviously another rip off.

This car is definitely an attention-getter! Now I want to hear its mighty roar, hahahaha.

Could it be?

apad 1950s american car in the penh

Saw this along the Russian Boulevard on our way to Mike’s BurgerHouse one night. Could it be a 1950s American classic? I think it’s a beauty.

APAD 054: Hobby

This is my second favourite area at the Post Office:

The Philately counter has a friendly and considerate staff.

The staff there knows me already as I regularly come see her to buy postcards and philately stuff. Also, she was nice enough to hand-stamp my postcards last December 12, when the main counter at the PO where you buy stamps refused to do so. You see, the 12-12-12 postmark is an auspicious one and many collectors the world over have been swapping for postcards and covers bearing this. It will never happen again in our lifetime so this is considered valuable.

Oh, and in case you are wondering what’s my most favourite area at the PO, it’s the hallway where all the post boxes are located, including mine 🙂
