Hi, blog! I’m back 🙂
Hello, friends! I hope you’ll find me blogging again, hihihi.

Anyways, I may be absent from blogging but I have been active over Instagram. Life has been so hectic and busy adulting… and will continue to be for a time. If this is the case, I’ll have to learn how to find time to do some blogging if I want to stay in the blogosphere. I’m a little rusty after all those months of absence, so please bear with me. Monday Mellow Yellows: Mickey Mouse Plant

Guess what — the mystery of this unknown plant in my garden has finally been unraveled when it flowered over the Khmer New Year for the first time in years. I got excited! So my husband and I had to Google search and found out it is called the Mickey Mouse plant. Ha. I know, I know this bright and pretty yellow flower doesn’t resemble Mickey Mouse at all, at least the ones that came out from my plants.

Vietnamese Mickey Mouse plant, Ochna serrulata.

This is widely popular in Vietnam, especially during the celebration of Tet, or the Vietnamese New Year. They are most sought after around this time due to the belief that this plant brings in good luck and prosperity. Today’s post comes after nearly a month of absence. A few months ago you might remember that I quit my job… which would have given me more time to blog. The answer is, unfortunately, NO. That didn’t happen.

One does not simply find time to blog.

But the good thing is, I am back again 🙂

And it’s banana season in my backyard.
