I sat in my husband’s class last Friday and they were making something. The students were only given several pairs of chopsticks, drinking straws, four discarded CDs and pieces of paper to design and build a car. So what were the results?
This one’s my favourite of all:
I just love the creativity here, good design, and runs fast enough. Love the details as well, from the Cambodian flag to the reference to the Olympic Games.
I’ve got to hand the GOLD medal to the student who made this!

Here’s another sundog photo my husband took last Sunday. I know, I could not get over the giddiness yet 🙂 so pardon me.
Sundogs are not so common – but are also not rare – in my part of the world. I have read stories about sundogs, it’s mystical nature and the many beliefs of many cultures surrounding this natural phenomenon. Seeing one for the first time last week was just pure magic. I am still in awe.
Thank you, Mother Nature, for letting me see one of your grand displays. Truly a memorable one.
You can find the story here at Sreisaat Adventures.

Traditional Cambodian weddings are colourful and extravagant. The bride and groom wear matching colourful outfits and they can change outfits several times during the whole day of ceremony and reception. These outfits are, more often than not, rented from a wedding shop like the one in this picture.
To those adventurous, there are photo studios in Phnom Penh that offer costumed portraits. If you love dressing up, like some tourists I know, have your photos taken garbed in Cambodian traditional costumes as souvenir. Many of my expat friends have already done it but I haven’t yet. I’m considering it though.
