A queue of vehicles and irritated commuters formed in front of the French Embassy along Monivong Boulevard, affecting the traffic along Street 273, the Japanese bridge, and France Street.

A campaigning convoy caused the traffic jam last Friday morning. Dozens of rented trucks, cars and vehicles waving party banners and blasting loud campaign music rolled over the capital’s main thoroughfares stranding thousands of commuters as campaign activities kick off all over the country. This year’s election is slated on the 3rd of June.

And this is why I was late for a very important date!
