One of my favorite views of Phnom Penh, as seen from across the Chroy Changvar bridge. Crossing to the other side of the Tonle Bassac river takes only about 15mins via barge.

This is Phnom Penh. I live here for more than 9 years now, and, everyday I feel that the landscape changes, no thanks to recent construction developments. Soon, western-styled apartment buildings will replace old colonial buildings and traditional Khmer houses, thus losing a big part of the Cambodian heritage and culture 🙁

Riding along the Chroy Changvar Bridge, or more popularly known as the Japanese-Cambodian Friendship Bridge. It’s one of the many bridges in the country that was built by the people of Japan 🙂
>Sunday Scenery #005: Another day at the market

This is Psah Thmey, or Central Market, located at the heart of downtown Phnom Penh. It is one of the liveliest markets, the main shopping center and the number one tourist hot spot in Phnom Penh. Built in French art-style deco, the market is shaped like a dome with four wings, divided into stalls packed with all sorts of stuffs!

A dirt road in rural Cambodia leading up to another, er, dirt road. Taken one summer day while, in the midst of a 40C temperature, we were on our way to have a meeting with our project beneficiaries. Riding on a moto-bike, we kept a respectable distance lest we be covered in a cloud of billowing red dust.
